What is vijja meditation?

Vijja is a Buddhist technical term for ‘superknowledge’ and ‘supernatural power’ gained from meditation practice.  There are many meditation methods which can enable meditators to achieve vijja, especially the Dhammakaya (Dharmakaya) and Chakkaya (Chakravarti) meditation tradition.

How about Dhammakaya?

Dhammakaya Meditation was rediscovered by the Most Venerable Phramongkolthepmuni or Luang Por Sodh (1884 - 1959), a Thai senior Buddhist monk who sacrificed his life in meditation practice and meditative research until he attained the ‘Dhammakaya,’ a crystal clear holy transcendental body known as the ‘Buddhahood’ or ‘true inner-self’ who exists within everyone.

How about Chakkaya?

On the other hand, Chakkaya Meditation can be practised with different approaches and methods depending on the meditation masters including Dhammakaya Meditation in order to attain the ‘Chakkaya’ or the adorned eminent imperial transcendental body who is the ‘nurturer’ within everyone.

Levels of meditation attainment:

In Dhammakaya meditation, practitioners normally progress step by step by attaining the refined human body (astral body), celestial body, Rupa-Brahma body, Arupa-brahma body, and the Dhammakaya, respectively, as well as the Chakkaya which rests within the most sublimity of one’s lineage of element & essence.  These are the inner bodies which differ in levels of refinement and purity.

Vijja Dhammakaya & Vijja Chakkaya:

After attaining the Dhammakaya or Chakkaya, practitioners are eligible to practise the superknowledge and supernatural power.  If meditators exercise them with Dhammakaya, it is called ‘vijja dhammakaya.’  In contrast, if meditators exercise them with Chakkaya, it is called ‘vijja chakkaya.’

What can vijja(s) do?

Vijja(s) are meditative mental activities which occur when meditators exercise various supernatural powers and acquire superknowledge such as recalling past lifetimes, acquiring divine eye and ear, understanding animals’ language, traveling to heaven, hell, and the Nirvana, meeting with angels and beloved ones who already passed away, healing, solving bad karmic consequence, creating and dissolving a monsoon, and investigating the universe and various realms.

Which one is better?

Dhammakaya Meditation allows practitioners to gain inner peace, bliss, purity, happiness, refreshment, and pure energy according to the level of meditation they achieve.  In the same manner, Chakkaya Meditation is similar to Dhammakaya Meditation in many aspects, but the main difference is that Chakkaya Meditation relies on the exercising of superknowledge and supernatural power or vijja with the transcendental Chakravarti Body or the adorned Imperial Dhamma Body empowered by the seven precious which are ‘transcendwares’ and ‘transcendroids’ namely (1) the Bladed Discus of power (2) the Crystal Ball of knowledge (3) the Lord of Force (4) the Lord of Treasury (5) the Noble Gentleman or Lady (6) the Noble Elephant and (7) the Noble Steed, whose functions can serve meditators in many beneficial ways.

How to choose?

When meditators attain Dhammakaya and Chakkaya, they will realise by themselves which body is their choices.  Normally, a Dhammakaya is more pure and holy whereas a Chakkaya is mighty and powerful.  Despite of the trade-off, some meditators can manage to balance between the purity and might.  Simply choose the body of our preferences and stay tuned to the body in meditation to exercise vijja with no exception that some meditators can do vijja with both when they gain more expertise.

How to meditate?

To meditate, simply visualise a crystal ball image in the middle of your abdomen and repeat the mantra Samma Arahang quietly in your mind over and over until the mind calms down and progresses into meditation until attaining respective meditation experiences.

If you have any question:

If you have any question, you can reach us by visualising the crystal ball image shown on this website in the middle of your abdomen and repeat the key-mantra Samma Arahang quietly in your mind over and over until your mind calms down and becomes still to unlock the crystal ball and enter the celestial meditation hall where you can reach our meditation masters.
